Introduction
Igbo Calendar does not ask you to create an account, and most of what you do in the app stays on your phone. This policy explains the few things that leave it, and why.
The Igbo Calendar mobile application (the “Application” or the “app”) is developed by Exampact Consult Limited (“We”). It shows the Igbo market day (Eke, Orie, Afọ, Nkwọ) for any date, and includes Igbo proverbs (Ilu), riddle games (Gwam Gwam), historical events and printable calendars. The app is available on Android (Google Play) and on iPhone and iPad (App Store).
By downloading or using the app, you agree to this policy. Please read it carefully. This policy is effective from 28 October 2026.
Information we collect
We do not collect your name, email address, phone number or contacts. The table shows what the app handles and where it goes.

All proverbs, riddles and historical events in the app are published by us; users do not post them. We may feature app content in our social media promotion of the app. If a photo in the app belongs to you and was used without your permission, email us a screenshot of it and we will remove it promptly.
How we use and share information
We use information only to run the app, show ads, process purchases and fix problems. We do not sell your information.
We share it only with these service providers, each under its own privacy policy:
- Google Firebase (Firestore, Storage, Crashlytics, Remote Config): delivers the app’s proverbs, riddles and events, and stores crash reports and app settings. Firebase privacy

We may also disclose information if the law requires it.
Your choices and rights
You stay in control of what the app keeps and shows.
- Ads and consent: change your ad privacy choices at any time in Settings → Change privacy preferences (shown where consent is required). You can also reset or delete your advertising ID in your phone’s settings. Premium removes ads entirely.
- Photos: if a photo in the app belongs to you, email us a screenshot of it and we will remove it.
- Data on your phone: personal events, birthday calendar details, progress and settings are deleted when you uninstall the app.
- Reminders: turn the daily proverb reminder off from the ⋮ menu on the Proverbs screen, or in your phone’s notification settings.
- Your requests: email us to ask what we hold about you, or to have it corrected or deleted. We reply within 30 days.
Security
The app’s content is served from Google Firebase, which protects data in transit and at rest. Keeping your phone secure is your responsibility. We advise against jailbreaking or rooting it, which weakens its security and may stop the app working properly.
Children
Igbo Calendar is a general-audience app and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we hold personal information about a child, email us and we will delete it.
Retention
Crash reports are kept by Firebase for up to 90 days. Everything else stays on your phone until you delete it or uninstall the app.
Terms of use
You may not copy, modify or extract the source code of the app or our trademarks. The app and its content belong to Exampact Consult Limited. Some features need an internet connection, and your mobile network may charge for data, including roaming. We may update, change or charge for the app at any time, but we will always make clear what you are paying for. Please accept updates when offered to keep the app working.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The new version will be posted on this page with its effective date. Please check it periodically.
